About the Dog Warrior: The Dog Warrior is a new accessories brand dedicated to helping man's best friend. Created by Los Angeles based artist and animal rights activist, Jennifer Williams, putting her flair for design to work, for her love of animals.

 

About Jennifer: Ever since she can remember, Jennifer has had an affinity for animals. When she was a little girl, around five, she surprised her mother at the front door with an Irish Wolfhound dog that was larger than she was. Around the same time she found a lost puppy a home. At around ten years old, she told her mother's boyfriend that he was a bad man, because he was a hunter, and had stuffed animals displayed in his home.

 

In her twenties, she worked with the anti-vivisection group SUPPRESS, founded by Javier Burgos, who made the film Hidden Crimes, which exposed experiments on animals. She used her own paintings for protest signage, and then created her own music band Stereotaxic Device to shine a light on the animal's plight.

 

All her life Jennifer has had, and has rescued, many different animal pets and horses. But It was when she had a dog who was diagnosed with cancer which motivated her to research, and discover the lack of good nutrition to be the cause. While researching she discovered the horrific dog meat trade, and then joined in the effort to spread awareness to help with getting bills passed to stop it. This led to her desire to create a sanctuary for the rescued dogs. Proceeds from this site will go towards financing that goal, of an animal sanctuary to rescue dogs from the dog meat trade.
